CASUAL FRIDAYS
Casual Fridays are held every Friday as long as a student has not received a Dress Code demerit that week. Immodest, overly Tight jeans or excessively baggy jeans will not be permitted. No holes, ragged hems, or decorations. Overalls are not permitted. Skirts and shorts should be no more than 2 inches above the knee. No sleeveless or tank top shirts. Colored denim is allowed as long as it meets the same criteria. Seniors are permitted the special privilege of Casual Mondays in addition to Casual Fridays.
We are trying to allow students to make choices within certain parameters so that they can realize that school is their workplace and dress accordingly. Students will be issued a demerit for dress code violations. Each demerit is sent home for a parent signature and returned the next day. Students who accumulate four dress code violations will be issued an after-school detention. From thereafter, the student will be assigned an after-school detention for each dress code violation and if the student accumulates eight then an in-school suspension will be assigned. Additional requirements for the student will be put in place through a parent meeting.
